Mensa

The Mensa am Park, Marienstraße 15b, serves a variety of lunches starting at € 1.50 from 11 am to 2 pm every day. In addition to four different dishes, which also include organic and “fair trade” products, you can also put together your own meal from the pasta and salad bar.

Note: The Mensa am Park is currently being renovated and is therefore closed for the time being!

Your thoska card is the only method of payment at the university’s dining halls and cafeterias. Therefore, make sure you’ve got enough credit on your thoska card so that you don’t get stuck at the cashier with an empty card and a grumbling stomach.

On the ground floor of the Mensa am Park, you can purchase snacks and beverages as early as 7:30 am on weekdays. The cafeteria is open on Saturdays from 11:30 am to 2 pm, on weekdays until 7 pm and on Fridays until 3 pm.

If you happen to be at the Language Centre or the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, you’ll find a cafeteria in the basement of Coudraystraße 13 (open 8 am - 2:30 pm) with a selection of different meals (11 am – 2 pm) and a variety of snacks.

If you are studying at the Anna Amalia Library, you can get a bite at the cafeteria on the Platz der Demokratie 4 from Monday to Friday, 11 am to 5 pm.
