From 07.04.-08.04.2025, the Chair of Chair of Construction Engineering and Management was at bauma in Munich together with a group of Bachelor and Master students from the Faculty of Construction and Environment at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. The excursion's supporting program provided valuable insights into innovative production technologies and the latest developments in mechanical engineering and the construction industry.

The consecutively planned tour of a construction site and the body shop at Audi in Ingolstadt showed the differences and similarities in cycle-controlled processes in both industries. A visit to the international construction machinery and mining trade fair bauma rounded off the program with the latest trends and technologies from both sectors.

Some of the highlights included the guided tour of the PERI stand and the live demonstration of the walking excavators from the Swiss company Menzi Muck AG. The individual organization of the day at the trade fair led to a variety of experiences for all participants.

This excursion was a valuable opportunity not only to expand our specialist knowledge, but also to network and make new contacts. We look forward to further exciting insights into the industry.
