Students in Germany are subsidised by the federal government. The government offers student financing in the form of BaföG support and study loans. BAföG is a publicly subsidised academic funding programme which international students can only qualify for under certain circumstances. The Studentenwerk Thüringen can also assist you further.
Study loans are low-interest, federally guaranteed loans to help students finance their studies. If certain conditions are met, international student can also qualify for study loans (see BaföG requirements).
