Fostering cooperation

Maintenance and initiation of university cooperation

Bauhaus-Universität Weimar maintains partnerships with over 200 partner universities worldwide. Every year, 300 to 400 students take the opportunity to go abroad via these cooperation agreements or to study for a limited period at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. This opportunity is also available to academic staff at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Cooperation agreements are divided into agreements within Europe (ERASMUS) and agreements outside Europe.

Cooperation agreements within Europe (ERASMUS) are highly standardised and offer mobility opportunities for lecturers (academic staff) and staff (administration). Exchange and travel can be subsidised by ERASMUS funds, as can the initiation of cooperation through ERASMUS.

Cooperation agreements outside Europe are individual agreements that may contain further agreements (e.g. agreements on joint workshops or summer schools, planned joint courses of study, etc.). They are usually not funded.

All cooperation must be located within a department where they are coordinated and maintained by a faculty member. If the faculty coordinator leaves the university, he or she should name a successor so that the cooperation can continue.

Initiation of a partnership

If you are an academic employee of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar interested in initiating a partnership, please fill in the form "Questionnaire for issuing a cooperation agreement" and send it to the DIB. We will take it from here. If you are interested in cooperating with us, please kindly find all necessary information here.
