Starting at 7.30 p.m.: Open Reading – when academic texts touch us

Academic texts are the basis of research and can provide important impulses in social discourse. At the same time, they can move us, stir us up and lure us out of our mental comfort zones.

During what is probably the longest "virtual" reading at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, academic documents of this kind will be presented. Students, doctoral candidates, professors, employees of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and actors of the German National Theatre Weimar - they will all talk about texts that have particularly moved, influenced or enriched them, and then read their favourite passages.

Live music by the student initiative Tonraum with experimental music by Timm Weber & Jad Murad.

The melodic conclusion of the Long Night is created by Tonraum members Timm Weber and Jad Murad. From 11.30 p.m. they will play live in the university library and ensure that the event can enjoy an experimental musical finale.⁣
⁣
Tonraum is a place and a loose association of people who love music. They want to provide and create a space and a community where people can educate themselves and each other about electronic music and club culture. In addition, producers* and those who want to become producers are welcome, as well as people who enjoy learning about new music and want to exchange ideas with a group of music lovers.⁣
For more information just have a look at the Tonraum's website: https://m18.uni-weimar.de/stuko/initiativen/tonraum⁣
