summaery2026 – Annual Exhibition of Bauhaus-Universität Weimar

Welcome!

For the annual exhibition summaery2026 from 9 to 12 July, students and faculty of the university will present their work, ideas, and discourses on campus as well as inside and outside the city. The motto »prompt‽« conceptually developed by the leading Faculty of Media, forms the thematic framework.

The motto

For us, »Prompt‽« is more than just a technical term. A prompt is an impulse, a question, a catalyst. It represents the dialogue between humans and AI and how ideas give rise to texts, images, or entirely new perspectives.

The interrobang »‽« combines a question and an exclamation. It represents curiosity, surprise, and the desire to rediscover things. We see summaery2026 as situated right between asking questions and seeking answers.

A design for »Prompt‽«

How does a motto become a visual concept? The visual identity of summaery2026 was created by Ames Grund, Hannes Altmann and August Guccione. In an interview with Luise Ziegler, the three visual communication students explain how the motto »Prompt‽« evolved into a visual identity and what ideas guided them along the way.

Cooperation & Support

The Bauhaus University Weimar would like to thank its partners, friends, and supporters for their generous support of projects and events as part of the annual exhibition summaery2026.

On 24 and 25 September 2026, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar invites you to rethink university teaching together. An accompanying exhibition will showcase student work and demonstrate how thinking, designing, building, programming and research are carried out here. Exhibition ideas are funded. Projects and exhibition concepts developed as part of summaery will also be further developed or adapted for TURN. The application period for the fund closed on May 8.
