Welcome to the Long Night of Sciences!

The main spot for the chair of resource management was the Technical Centre of the Bauhaus-Institute for Infrastructure Solutions (b.is) at Coudraystraße 10. Visitors had the chance to step behind the scenes of the facility and explore innovations such as VertiKKA, which demonstrates principles of greywater recycling and façade greening.

Another program point was the characterisation of textile waste, offering insights into the potential of within enhanced sorting and recycling methods. Attendees even had the opportunity to analyse the material composition of their own garments.

The technologies for substrate fermentation also captured significant interest. These processes, which convert biodegradable waste into energy, provided valuable insights into the potential of resource recovery.

The Long Night of Science 2024 highlighted the diversity and impact of research in addressing global challenges. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the evening through their participation, curiosity, and discussions.
