Fire Safety Training in the Courtyard
On March 18, 2025, colleagues from the Chair of Resource Management took part in an active fire safety training. The goal of the session was to practice using fire extinguishing equipment and to learn the correct procedures to follow in the event of a fire.
Led by Frederik Sukop, Fire Safety Officer at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, participants were first introduced to the fundamentals of preventive and defensive fire protection. Through a combination of lecture and hands-on demonstrations, key emergency response steps were explained clearly and accessibly. A highlight of the training was the practical exercise in the courtyard of Coudraystraße 11 C, where each participant had the opportunity to extinguish a small controlled fire themselves. This hands-on experience proved both educational and engaging, inspiring several team members to express interest in further training to become fire safety assistants for the University.
