On Friday, 15 November 2024, the university and various locations across the city welcomed visi-tors to the Long Night of Science. This year’s programme provided a diverse and engaging opportunity to explore the fascinating world of research.

This year's doctoral seminar in the field of waste management took our doctoral students and those interested in doing a doctorate to the idyllic Matrei am Brenner in Austria for three days at the end of September.

Mit dem Thema "Resilienz" ging es dieses Jahr für die Studierenden in den Südharz. Im Rahmen der Exkursionswoche der Fakultät B&U organisierte das Bauhaus-Institut für zukunftsweisende Infrastruktursysteme (b.is) eine zweitägige (22.-23.05.2024) Exkursion ins nahegelegene Nordhausen.

Welcome party for summer semester 2024

On 18 April, the welcome party for recently enrolled students on the environmental engineering programme was once again held in the courtyard of the technical center at Coudraystraße 10. In a relaxed atmosphere and sunny spring weather, the participants were able to get to know each other and network over beer and barbecue.

Participation at the National Seminar on Onsite Grey Water Treatment & Reuse Systems in India

On 20 and 21 March, three b.is scientists participated in the National Seminar on Onsite Grey Water Treatment & Reuse Systems in India. The team, comprising Gloria Kohlhepp (Chair of Urban Bioengineering for Resource Recovery), David Gaeckle and Gregor Biastoch (Chair of Resource Management), successfully contributed to the seminar with their presentations based on research projects at the National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST) in Thiruvananthapuram.
