Two new scientific publications on the digitization of permit processes
The Chair of Construction Engineering and Management has recently published two new scientific papers dealing with the analysis and optimization of construction and approval processes in the context of digital transformation.
One of the papers was published in the internationally renowned Q1 journal "Building Research & Information." In the article „Integrating work breakdown structure and social network analysis for stakeholder coordination in European building permitting“ by Hossein Motahar, Dr. Judith Fauth, and Prof. Dr. Jürgen Melzner, key patterns and shortcomings in stakeholder management in building permit processes are analyzed on the basis of a Europe-wide empirical study. The study combines qualitative interviews with quantitative analysis and simulation methods and provides reliable insights into efficiency gains, coordination quality, and regulatory compliance in complex approval processes
