Under the title:

“Enhancing Public Building Maintenance Practice in Ethiopia by Applying Adopted Methods of State-of-the-Art Digitization”

the work contributes to the further development of facility management (FM) in developing regions - with a particular focus on Ethiopia. The research focuses on optimizing the life cycle of public buildings through digital methods, including

• Development of a maturity model for FM with Fuzzy-DEMATEL
• Integration of building information modeling (BIM) into existing FM processes
• Prioritization of information requirements with fuzzy AHP
• Design of a web-based evaluation tool for FM maturity levels

The interdisciplinary work was supervised by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans-Joachim Bargstädt (Bauhaus University Weimar) and Assoc. Prof. Asregidew Kassa Woldesenbet (Addis Ababa University).
