Marialuisa Capurso, current holder of the Radio Art Residency Weimar presents her work in two talk sessions

In this semester's first Radiogespräch on Tuesday, 16 November, and another talk in the ACC Gallery on Wednesday, 17 November, interested parties will gain first insights into the scholarship holder's current work. Both formats are hybrid, they take place both in person and online.

How can a medium like radio be a safe space where memories and voices become a strong shared experience of a collective awareness? Having as a starting point the first Rubedo composition for generations.fm (a two-day radio programme as part of the Kultursymposium Weimar), Marialuisa Capurso has been collecting and composing voices of women. These voices form a choir of confessions, with which the artist tries to engage in an intense way.

During the Radiogespräch Marialuisa will present past and current works as well as her artistic approach. For her, the artistic strategy Rubedo aims to enlarge the spectrum of listening, by allowing intimacy. During Rubedo the focus is on the process and not on the destination. Marialuisa researches about these intimate processes during her three-month residency in Weimar. After the presentation an open studio discussion moderated by Prof. Nathalie Singer will take place.
