4.2. Lecture by Dr. Alexander König about »AI on the Edge - A journey into Deepstreams«

We invite all interested parties to a lecture by Dr. Alexander König about his project »AI on the Edge - A journey into Deepstreams« followed by a discussion with Prof. Georg Trogemann. The event starts on Tuesday, 4 February 2025, 2 p.m., and can be streamed via BigBlueButton or live on youtube. The installation will be shown on Friday, 14 February 2025, at »Hybrides Lernatelier« at Amalienstraße 13.

2025 Winterwerkschau: Art and Design Students Showcase Their Work

For the eighth time, students from the Faculty of Art and Design are inviting visitors to the Winterwerkschau. From 7 to 9 February, visitors will be given exclusive insights into over 50 current academic projects. The focus isn’t solely on the finished work – the creative process itself is also on display. Starting on Saturday, 8 February, from 10 am to 2 pm, prospective students can visit the exhibition and learn more about studying in the fields of art and design. Prior registration is not necessary.

Art and encounters in the Weimar Atrium: skill-share workshops and exhibition

From 4 to 11 February, Weimar's »Atrium« is attracting visitors with a special experience: students from the »Art and Social Terrain« class at the Faculty of Art and Design are designing two shops in the shopping centre. They are putting on an exhibition and offering daily »skill-share workshops« where participants can learn new things and socialise. The vernissage, a performative tour, begins on Tuesday, 4 February 2025, at 5 pm. The meeting point is the red carpet in front of the main entrance.

30.1. Lecture by Dr Shradha Chandan about »Finding Balance« between urban change and cultural preservation

On Thursday, 30 January 2025, 6 p.m., Geschwister-Scholl-Straße 7, Atelier 116, Dr. Shrade Chandan (DAAD Prime Fellow) will give a lecture about »Finding Balance« between urban change and cultural preservation. The focus is put on how historic neighbourhoods can navigate the delicate balance between urban change and cultural preservation through participartory and co-creatiove design and planning methods. The lecture will be moderated by Prof. Willmann. Anyone interested is warmly invited to join!

Kreativ durchstarten in Thüringen: Wege in die Selbstständigkeit nach dem Studium

Am 22. Januar 2025 laden der Career Service und die Gründungswerkstatt neudeli der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar gemeinsam mit der Thüringer Agentur für die Kreativwirtschaft (THAK) und der Thüringer Agentur für Fachkräftegewinnung (ThAFF) zur Veranstaltung »Should I Stay or Should I Go? – Dein Weg in die kreative Selbstständigkeit in Thüringen nach dem Studium« ein. Von 16 bis 18 Uhr können sich Studierende und Alumni kreativer Studiengänge in der Gründungswerkstatt neudeli über berufliche Perspektiven in Thüringen informieren.
