Vier Abschlussarbeiten aus dem Bereich »Experimentelles Radio« im Programm von Deutschlandfunk

Das Jahr 2021 war für die Absolventinnen und Absolventen im Studiengang Medienkunst / Mediengestaltung besonders erfolgreich: Gleich vier Produktionen haben es in die Hörspiel- und Feature-Planung von Deutschlandfunk geschafft und werden ausgestrahlt. Zwei der Abschlussarbeiten werden zusätzlich im Rahmen einer neuen Kooperation der Professur »Experimentelles Radio« mit dem Theater Erfurt in einem neuen Format unter dem Titel »Hör.Box« im Frühjahr zur Aufführung gebracht.

Fine Art student Simon Surjasentana shows everyday life in an intensive care unit in his paintings

Simon Surjasentana is studying in the Fine Art degree programme at the Faculty of Art and Design at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar since 2016. To finance his studies, he works part-time in the intensive care unit of the Sophien- und Hufelandklinikum Weimar. He processes his impressions as a nurse in his painting.

Annual conference of the Society for Artistic Research at the Faculty of Art and Design is postponed

The Society for Artistic Research (SAR) conference at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, originally planned for spring 2022, has to be postponed due to the pandemic situation. Participants from all over the world who are dedicated to the field of artistic research in theory and practice will now meet from 30 June to 3 July 2022. This is the first time the format will be hosted in Germany.

Impressions of the Winterwerkschau 2022

On Friday, 4 February 2022, the three-day Winterwerkschau started its fifth edition. Under special pandemic conditions, the students of the Bauhaus.Module, who planned the event independently and on their own responsibility, realised a fantastic show. Up to 340 people were allowed to be present on location for the broadcast of two livestreams in the outdoor space of the campus under 2G+ regulations. There were detailed hygiene concepts for presence exhibitions.

Online, live and with a hygienic concept - the students' »Winterwerkschau« goes new ways

From 4 to 6 February 2022, the »Winterwerkschau« will take place for the fifth time as a student semester show of the Faculty of Art and Design. For the first time, students from the three other faculties of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and the University of Music FRANZ LISZT will also participate in the format. Digital projects, films, music works, products, architecture, art and much more will be shown on 64 project websites, in a total of ten hours of live streaming and on 3,400 square meters of exhibition space.

»Das Wesen der Stadt«: Studierende untersuchen ihre Stadt

Im interdisziplinären Projekt »Das Wesen der Stadt« begeben sich Studierende der Architektur, Urbanistik und Kunst auf eine Spurensuche, um ihre Stadt empirisch zu erforschen. Hierfür werden bis 15. März 2022 zahlreiche Interviewpartner und -partnerinnen in Weimar gesucht, die ihre Wahrnehmungen in das Projekt einbringen möchten.

Students of the Faculty of Art and Design present works in Chemnitz

Under the title "DU KANNST DAS TRAGEN: Kleider - Codes - Botschaften" (You Can Wear That: Clothes - Codes - Messages), the predominantly international students of the Master's programme " Public Art and New Artistic Strategies" are dealing with current social issues in a cooperation with the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz. The results will be presented both in the museum's facilities and in public space from 28 to 30 January 2022.
