Focusing on the very first sample house built by the Bauhaus people back in 1923, and in prospect of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Bauhaus, this projects deals with architecture as a medium of communication. The Haus am Horn” is put within the concept of Abstract Reconstruction and within a communication campaign strengthen its important position in the history of modern architecture.


The visitors can perceive and understand the complexity of the 1st Bauhaus Exhibition back in 1923 in both, physical and virtual way. Scales and measurements can be explored physically while colors, materials and light impressions are projected via augments reality and the use of tablets. Combining real and virtual world, the visitor can create a full picture not only by perceiving and seeing but also using his / her own imagination.
The communication campaign situates the real outline sculptural elements throughout the city of Weimar in order to put the importance of the Haus am Horn” back to the heart of the city.
