Crash-Course: Cyanotype in Contemporary Art – a practical approach

Cyanotype in Contemporary Art – a practical approach

Cyanotype is one of the first photographic techniques from the 19th century. After it lost its importance and almost fell into oblivion, since the 1960s more and more artists have been working with this versatile and inexpensive technique.

This course gives a brief insight into the early history of photography and introduces different positions of contemporary artists who deal with this medium.

In the practical part, students use this knowledge to develop their own concepts, realize their own projects and find their artistic expression in cyanotype.

Open to all people interested.
