The writing coaching session is a 45-minute individual consultation with our experienced coach (apl.) Prof. Dr. Peter Braun from the Writing Center at the Friedrich-Schiller University in Jena.
The program is open to all doctoral candidates and PostDocs of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Designed for the writing process, the focus lies on giving counselling on academic writing for doctoral candidates of all disciplines. The coaching will target comprehensible structure and argumentation of a paper, the methodical approach, the writing process, the structuring of work and time, and much more that is part of writing.

Our individual appointments will take place online via BigBlueButton, making it easy for you to join from wherever you are. Furthermore, we can conduct the writing consultation in either German or English, depending on your preference.
Additionally, we provide a range of comprehensive writing courses and support, including the weekly open writing group at the BRS, every Thursday from 8:30 to 10.00 am in the BRS, Marienstr. 14 or online. If you are interested, please send an e-mail in advance to
