Getting to Weimar

Just a few minutes' walk from the city centre, you'll find Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and its historical Main Building, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The campus is adjacent to the picturesque »Park an der Ilm«.

By Train

Weimar’s train station is serviced by Intercity Express (ICE) trains and is situated approximately 2 km north of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. To get to campus, you can either take a 30-minute walk through the historic part of town or simply get on the bus line 1 toward Belvedere/Ehringsdorf/Taubach. Within ten minutes, you will reach the stop »Bauhaus-Universität« at Marienstraße next to the Mensa am Park (student dining hall).

The culturally rich, university town of Weimar is situated close to the autobahn route A4 – only minutes away by car.
