»Where Is Walter? An Audio Walk for the 2019 Bauhaus Centenary in Weimar« is a student project by Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
The Walk is divided into seven tracks, which can be heard in any order. A nearly one-hour track leads to the main Bauhaus locations on the university campus. In addition, there are five shorter tracks to other locations in the city where Gropius and Co. have left their marks. All places are within walking distance or accessible by public transport.
The AudioWalk offers – by linking the content to stories and sounds – a sensual experience when visiting the stations. The tracks were individually composed with artful interweaving of O-tones, interviews, sound and audible play-like elements. The resulting seven Bauhaus sound tracks also take up lesser known aspects of the history of the Bauhaus in Weimar.
