summaery2026 – Annual Exhibition of Bauhaus-Universität Weimar

For the annual exhibition summaery2026 from 9 to 12 July, students and faculty of the university will present their work, ideas, and discourses on campus as well as inside and outside the city. The motto »prompt‽« conceptually developed by the leading Faculty of Media, forms the thematic framework.

We do not view »prompt« as a technological given, but rather as a subject for critical discussion: prompt is a call to action and an impetus. It stands for speed, precision and responsiveness. At the same time, prompt today refers to the central interface between humans and artificial intelligence: the input field that determines which answers, images, analyses or designs are generated. The interrobang »‽« combines question and exclamation, standing for curiosity and urgency, experimentation and reflection, openness and responsibility. It is in this dual movement that we locate »summaery2026«.

More than 5,500 visitors took the opportunity at »summaery2025« to get to know our university, attend the exhibitions and events, and celebrate the conclusion of the academic year with us.

Experiential spaces for sustainable learning

On 24 and 25 September 2026, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar invites you to rethink university teaching together. An accompanying exhibition will showcase student work and demonstrate how thinking, designing, building, programming and research are carried out here. Exhibition ideas are eligible for funding. Projects and exhibition concepts presented as part of summaery can also be submitted, further developed or adapted. Applications for funding will be accepted starting in April.
