On October 7 and 8, 2026, members of the Chair of Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar participated in a joint research seminar hosted by the Chair of Business Dynamics, Innovation and Economic Change (UIW) at Friedrich Schiller University Jena, together with colleagues from the University of Augsburg and the University of Erfurt.

Interested in entrepreneurship and in developing ideas that create economic, societal, and environmental impact?
In the upcoming winter semester, the Chair of Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer is piloting a new blended-learning format for entrepreneurship education. Combining individual learning with collaborative, team-based work, the pilot is part of ThüLeNa (Thüringen lehrt und lernt nachhaltig) and is supported and funded by the Carl Zeiss Foundation.

Registration is now open for our course “Global Business & Intercultural Management” in the upcoming winter semester.
How do cultural differences shape the way we communicate, collaborate, lead, and do business across borders? And why do some international strategies succeed while others struggle when transferred across countries and cultures?
The course explores these and many other questions about how culture shapes business in an increasingly interconnected world.
