Final Presentations of the Course »Robotic Tectonics«
The course is jointly offered by the Professorship of Design Theory and Research and the Chair of Advanced Structures, and is structured as a cross-disciplinary science module (6 ECTS) with integrated exercises. It is open to students from the Faculties of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Architecture and Urbanism, and Art and Design.
The project Robotic Tectonics provides the organizational and operational framework for pursuing various teaching modules in the fields of design, robotics, and education. As such, the inaugural course, Design for Robotic Assembly, allows students at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar to engage in hands-on work with industrial robotics in a pedagogical, material-based, and research-driven environment. For the first time, students are introduced to the fundamental principles of robotic interaction and manipulation through a combination of theory, methodologies, and hands-on experimentation.
The course is funded by the Thuringian Ministry of Economy, Science and Digital Society (TMWWDG) and the Stifterverband.
