The joint workshop of the project 3D Lagebilder (BUW) and KAHR (subproject TU Kaiserslautern) with the support of THW took place from 9th-10th November 2022 in Bornheim (NRW).

On November 17th and 18th, the eTeach annual meeting 2022 (with the motto Space, Time, Format) took place at the TU Ilmenau.

In part of the collaboration between Prof. Davorin Penava (UNIOS, Croatia), Dr. Matthias Roik (Leviat) and, Prof. Lars Abrahamczyk (BUW), further successful experimental tests were performed last week (week 46).

During the period from 20th August to 2nd September 2022, the Chair of Advanced Structures took the lead in organizing the Bauhaus Summer School - Forecast Engineering, funded by DAAD. This year's forecast engineering program “Virtualization, visualization and validation of urban and structural building responses”, included diverse civil engineering projects supported by the Institute of Structural Engineering at the Bauhaus University Weimar.

The Chair of Advanced Structures has a vacancy for a student assistant. The position is initially limited to three months with a monthly working time of 30 hours and a possibility to extend.

The Chair of Advanced Structures participated this year again in Summaery2022 (Science Mile Q3) with four interesting projects in the field of climate change, VR/AR and earthquake engineering.

In part of the Erasmus+ capacity building project "Environmental Risk Assessment and Mitigation on Cultural Heritage Assets in Central Asia - ERAMCA", the Chair of Advanced Structures, Bauhaus University Weimar is organizing a workshop from the 18th to 22nd July 2022.

Within the framework of VR/AR Learning Days 2022 workshop, German academic institutes have presented their latest achievements in research and teaching implementations of VAMR (virtual, augmented and mixed reality) applications and virtual learning platforms.
