Important information on the start of the semester at the Faculty of Art and Design
Dear students of the Faculty of Art and Design,
After the mailing from the presidium from 27 April, we would like to inform you with this e-mail about the faculty-specific details regarding the start of the semester in summer semester 2020.
1. Projektbörse
The course selection process will take place entirely online during the 2020 summer semester. As usual from previous semesters, you can register for courses and projects via the Bison portal. Project presentations and consultations will take place via Moodle and its integrated video conferencing software »BigBlueButton« (BBB).:

Project and course selection
Registration for all courses of the Faculty of Art and Design is made online via the Bison portal. Please note the deadline for enrolment: it is activated from 1 to 7 May.

Some courses require additional preparation, such as writing a letter of motivation or submitting a portfolio. Please refer to the descriptions of the individual courses in the Bison Portal for information on upload options. For the first time, you will find additional information on the course via a link in the courses.
»»» IMPORTANT««« Even if it is already technically possible to register in Moodle rooms, we kindly ask you not to do so yet! For reasons of solidarity we will all start together on May 4th.
Project presentations:
The project presentations will take place from Monday, 4 May 2020, 12 h, centrally in the following Moodle room (currently under construction):

Consultations:
The consultation dates of the study programmes take place on Tuesday, 5 May, also in Moodle using the conference tool »BigBlueButton«. Detailed information will be published on the faculty website as soon as possible.

Notification of participation:
From Wednesday, 8 May 2020, the lists of participants will be sent to the teachers and you will receive a confirmation by e-mail whether you have been accepted to the course.
ATTENTION: From 11 May 2020 - If you have not received a confirmation of participation in the courses, please contact the respective lecturers of the course for clarification.
2. Workshops and workspaces
As of May 4, 2020, we are working as a faculty on the development of measures to enable the step-by-step opening of workspaces and workshops during the summer semester while observing the hygiene measures and distance regulations, provided that the legal framework continues to develop positively. There will be restrictions which we as a faculty cannot compensate for.
3. Information from your student representatives
Here you can download a mailing from your student representatives that we would like to pass on to you. We would like to point out that you can, of course, participate anonymously in the »Poll for the Realization in the Summer Semester« offered there with an alias name.
