For their documentary film »No Body and the Blue Sky«, Magda Gvelesiani (Visual Communication), Bela Moritz (Visual Communication) and Philiph Waltinger (Media Art and Design) were awarded in the category »Best Short Documentary« at the Kiez Berlin Film Festival.

Der MFA-Studiengang »Kunst im öffentlichen Raum und neue künstlerische Strategien« an der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar und das Bauhaus-Museum der Klassik Stiftung Weimar laden herzlich ein zum Künstlerinnengespräch mit Esther Shalev-Gerz.

Nora Giuliana Iannone, Masterstudentin der Architektur, und Massimo Scheidegger, Student im Bachelorstudiengang Produktdesign, sind für ihre freie Projektarbeit »Future Artifact – Charby« im Rahmen des internationalen Wettbewerbs »ein&zwanzig« als »Winner« ausgezeichnet worden. Mit dem Entwurf ihres CO2-bindenden Pflanzgefäßes aus Pflanzenkohle sind sie damit eine von insgesamt 21 Arbeiten, die auf der renommierten Designmesse »Salone del Mobile« vom 6. bis zum 12. Juni 2022 in Mailand ausstellen dürfen.

On 27 April 2022, the first of a total of four exhibitions will open at Kunsthaus Erfurt, the temporary exhibition spaces of the »NOVA art space«. The group exhibition »SPACE, ACTIVATE!«, which relates works by students and alumni of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar to three renowned international positions, will kick off the exhibition. It is dedicated to performative and collaborative practices and focuses on artistic works that literally activate and charge the newly acquired spaces with energy by means of performances and actions.

Im »Gründungswettbewerb – Digitale Innovationen« des Bundesministeriums für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz ist die Absolventin des Studiengangs »Produktdesign« gemeinsam mit ihren Partnerinnen Ulrike Böttcher (Co-Founderin & CEO) und Faustine Rolle (Bio-Chemikerin) für ihr Start-Up-Unternehmen »valupa« ausgezeichnet worden.

On the occasion of the exhibition »And Now For Something Completely Different 13« by Nika Oblak and Primož Novak, the course »Kunstwelt« der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar in cooperation with the Jenaer Kunstverein and the Häselburg Gera invites you to an Artist Talk with the artist duo. Nika Oblak and Primož Novak will give exclusive insights into their work. All interested persons are cordially invited to join in the subsequent discussion, which will be moderated by Michaela Mai and Florian Schmidt. The Artist Talk will take place in English on Monday, 25 April 2022, 6 pm.

With the start of the 2022 summer semester, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar will take a decisive step towards having its own university gallery: from April, the university will temporarily use the exhibition rooms of the Kunsthaus Erfurt.
