Enrolment in courses via the »Bison« portal

Starting on Friday 1 April, 00.01, until Tuesday 5 April, 23.59

Enrolment in projects, Fach- and Werkmodule as well as scientific / academic modules will take place exclusively online via the »Bison« portal.

For some modules an additional registration via e-mail is necessary for admission to the module. More information can be found directly in the description of the respective courses in the course catalogue »Bison«. Moodle rooms for individual courses will be opened by lecturers for registration after enrolment ensues.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • As a rule, students attend one project module, one Fach- or Werkmodul and one scientific module each. Due to the capacities of the faculty and the ratio of the number of teachers to students, it is not possible to attend multiple projects or Fach-/Werkmodule in a semester. Please be sure to adhere to this rule!
  • For the first time, it is possible for you to indicate course priorities in order to express your preferences for the individual courses and their contents.
Please select three modules per category in Bison. When enrolling, you can specify a maximum of 3 priorities (First choice – Second choice – Third choice; Erstwunsch – Zweitwunsch – Drittwunsch) per module (project, Fach-/Werkmodul and scientific module) for this purpose.

In the interest of a smooth and uncomplicated process, we ask you to avoid multiple registrations beyond the three requests! Registering for multiple projects does not increase your chances of being accepted, but diminishes the chances for all students.

The following short video tutorial shows how to enrol via »Bison«:

How and when will I know if I have been accepted?

After registration via »Bison«, the final selection takes place by the faculty lecturers.
As of Thursday, 7 April 2022, students will be informed by the administration office of the degree programme, which offers the course, by e-mail to their Weimar university e-mail address exclusively. Please note that private e-mail addresses are not permitted due to data protection regulations and that official correspondence is only conducted via the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar e-mail address.

What if I am not accepted?

If you are not accepted to a course, please contact the respective lecturers of the alternatively desired projects, Fach- and Werkmodule or scientific / academic modules from Friday, 8 April 2022. Alternatively, get back to the academic advisers and the degree programme spokespersons.
