What we hear when we say the invention of nature? Aren't we use to think of nature as the only thing that is constant, immanent, and permanent? The only thing that we are not the maker of. But as Nietzsche wrote "We speak of nature and forget to include ourselves: we ourselves are nature. It means that nature is something quite different from what we think when speak its name." (Human, all too Human, 327). Focusing on my own art work from the past 10 years I will examine how perceiving Nature as a constructed entity allows us an intervention path into and a reflective state over our culture. Acknowledging the nature of things as artificial, designed or manipulated through our gaze and actions has the potential to liberate us. We can finally invite ourselves to take part in the manipulation, form a different narrative or reveal the narratives that are being forced upon us and resist them. Eine Gesprächsserie zur Kunst im öffentlichen Raum und zu neuen künstlerischen Strategien.
