Project description

Within our bachelor thesis we decided to leave the conventional way of individual work and founded a collective structure.
and founded a collective structure. We joined together as eight students of architecture and urban studies in order to focus on the community, especially in these times when the university is so disembodied. As a final project at the university for the time being
University, we wanted to take another look at the space surrounding us, the rural area of Thuringia. The group's potential lay in cooperation, mutual support, joint reflection, shared infrastructure and the formulation of a collective attitude. In the form of joint interim presentations and individual consultations, an exciting discourse emerged with
the professorships supervising us (Design and Housing, Landscape Architecture and Land Planning, Historic Preservation and Building History, Design and Building Construction).
Based on a collectively developed understanding of the significance and the future increasing relevance of rural areas, we developed questions and thematic focal points, which are answered in different ways in the individual works. The results are designs and academic works that address various aspects of rural spaces and deal with social issues.
