Highlights of the year 2026

On 5 February, prospective students and their parents will once again have the opportunity to talk to the student advisor and Studierendenwerk about the offers, organisation and social framework conditions of studies.

From Friday, 6 February to Sunday, 8 February, the student-organised Winterwerkschau invites you to discover current works by students of the Faculty of Art and Design. At the same time, the faculty offers portfolio, study and portfolio advice for all undergraduate degree programmes.

Students from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism will be presenting the results of their projects, drafts and seminars in winter semester 2025/26 from 12 to 15 February.

On 25 February, young researchers will meet for the regional competition "Jugend forscht" Mittelthüringen in the Main Building of the university. The competition will be hosted by Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and the Materials Research and Testing Laboratory (MFPA).

From 12 to 21 March, students from the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and students from the partner universities will meet for joint courses in the focus areas of art, technology, architecture (Architecture) and languages during the presence phase of the Spring School in Weimar.

PowerGirls: on 23 April , the Science Discovery Centre offers schoolgirls an insight into STEM studies at the university for Girls' Future Day.

On 13 May from 2 pm to 5 pm, the University's Career Services cordially invites all students and graduates to the career networking fair in the Mensa am Park to get to know potential internships and employers.

From 26 to 30 May , the university is offering potential Master's students the opportunity to try out their desired degree programme on site at the university. Take advantage of this opportunity and register.

On 17 June, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar will open its doors for a Day of Science - with presentations, exhibits and exchange formats for school classes, students, researchers and anyone else who is interested.

On 30 May , the university will open its doors to prospective students. Numerous presentations, information stands on degree programmes and general conditions, tours and discussions with student advisors, academic staff and students await you in the dining hall at the park and throughout the campus.

From 9 to 12 July, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, under the leadership of the Faculty of Media, invites you to its big annual show. Students and academic staff will present the projects and positions of the current academic year.

Am 24. und 25. September lädt die Konferenz Studierende, Lehrende und Mitarbeitende ein Lehre und Lernen an Hochschulen unter dem Motto »Experiential TURN – Erfahrungsräume für zukunftsfähiges Lernen« gemeinsam weiterzudenken.

The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar is participating in this year's Long Night of Sciences in Weimar and the Weimar region on 13 November from 6 pm to midnight with numerous offers at various locations on campus.
