Learn more about studying at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar during the 2023 Open Campus Day

During this year’s Open Campus Day (»HIT«) on Saturday, 3 June 2023, prospective students can explore the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar campus between 9 am and 3 pm. Visitors are able to obtain comprehensive information on studying in Weimar during guided tours of the four faculties, visits to the teaching rooms and workshops, and information sessions.

Which degree programme would suit me best? How can I finance my studies? What can I look forward to in Weimar? Between 9 am and 3 pm, staff of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and Studierendenwerk Thüringen will be available in the foyer of Mensa am Park (Marienstraße 15) to provide answers to all of these questions at various information stands and to assist with other general and subject-specific questions about studying at the university.

Following a welcome address by Prof. Dr. Christian Koch (Vice President of Student and Academic Affairs) and Torsten Schubert (Managing Director, Studierendenwerk Thüringen), prospective students can learn more about their study options and about studying abroad at one of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar’s approximately 200 partner universities worldwide and also receive advice on countless other aspects in Lecture Hall A (Marienstraße 13) between 10 am and 11 am. From 1:30 pm, the social conditions of studying and topics such as housing, costs and financing will be discussed in Lecture Hall C.

Visitors, who already have their sights set on a specific bachelor’s or master’s study programme, should also drop by Marienstraße 13 at 11:15 am or 12:30 pm. Lecturers and staff will introduce the four faculties’ various study programmes in Lecture Halls A, B, C and D. The faculties will also open their doors between 10 am and 3 pm: prospective students can learn more about studying at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar during individual tours of the teaching rooms, workshops and design rooms, and guided tours of the campus.
