»23:ideas Fund«: Information Evening on Funding Support for Student Projects
100 years after the first Bauhaus Exhibition, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar is providing support for public student projects through the »23:ideas Fund«. On the next two Thursdays, 4 and 11 May, the anniversary year’s coordinator, Thomas Apel, will be hosting information events at 6 pm (German) and at 7 pm (English) in the Bauhaus.Atelier and will also be advising interested students.
From April to October 2023, the anniversary fund will allow the university to support projects that make student research results, designs, artwork and products accessible to a broad public. A total of 80,000 euros is available for these projects. Students have until 21 May 2023 to submit their projects for funding.
Projects eligible for funding include public formats, exhibitions, presentations, displays, performances and their communication to a regional and national audience. Applications are particularly welcome from student teams that include and involve the international partners of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar, the Klassik Stiftung Weimar and the Kunstfest Weimar.
Information will be provided on eligibility and application, jury criteria for awarding funding, fund use and the obligation to present and report after successfully applying. Following the information event, coordinator Thomas Apel will be available to answer questions and provide advice on the application process.
