The Matriculation Ceremony in Photos
On 12 October 2023, first-year students were welcomed to the 2023/2024 winter semester at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. University President Prof. Peter Benz and Vice President of Student and Academic Affairs Dr. Simon Frisch welcomed the new students and got them in the spirit for this exciting new phase in their lives.
Dr. Theres Rohde, Director of the Museums für konkrete Kunst Ingolstadt and alumna of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, gave the keynote speech to the first-semester students before the University Prizes are awarded by Prof. Peter Benz.
Following the official ceremony in the Audimax, the new students met and networked with their professors, fellow students and university staff members during a champagne reception in the foyer of the University Library.
This autumn, around 800 students, including more than 160 international students, have enrolled at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. The enrolment period closes for this semester is open until 30 October 2023.
