Students Awarded Silver and Bronze at the International City Digital Skin Art Festival
The projects were created as part of the »Beyond the Screens« semester project in the 2024 summer semester under the supervision of Prof. Reinhard König, Susa Pop and Carolina Garcia. Each of the videos addressed the habitat and ecosystems of Earth.
The international City Digital Skin Art Festival began three years ago at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou. It aimed to explore the potential of digital screens and media façades for the hybrid design of public spaces.
This year, the event is taking place in Europe for the first time and in collaboration with the Connecting Cities Network. The large-format media façades and public screens will launch simultaneously in Shanghai, Beijing, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Singapore, Milan, Paris, and Hamburg and serve as public stages for digital media art. 40 works selected by an international jury from around 200 submissions will be on display.
