On Thursday morning, March 3, 2022, the relief transport from Weimar starts with a large number of relief goods and donations. Clothing is now no longer needed, but many other essential things.
Currently, the following things are still urgently needed:
At the moment, we do not need any further donations of clothing, which have arrived in many cases and are available in sufficient quantities.
Donations can be handed in
until Wednesday, March 2, 7 p.m.
in the Marienstraße 12, 99423 Weimar.
Everything that is handed in after that will be made available to the local refugee assistance in Weimar or will later be transported to Ukraine.
In the meantime, a Ukrainian driving company has offered to provide a truck and a driver, so that the entire delivery is possible at once. The destination of the transport is the Polish town of Medyka, which is located not far from the Ukrainian border on Polish territory. The transport is organized in charge by the AWO-Fachdienst für Integration und Migration and the honorary support association WE UNITED of the AWO-Regionalverband Mitte-West-Thüringen. Many students and employees of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar are also involved.
