The aim of the collaborative project is to enable synchronously perceived social interaction in virtual reality. Both technical and cognitive psychological factors are being used to improve the perceived synchronicity.

Coordinated by the Alliance of Thuringian Engineering Sciences, the inter-university research group »Connected and Cognitive Driving« starts its work today. The Bauhaus University is being represented by the junior professorship Usability as well as the Chair of Traffic System Planning and cooperates with the Technical University of Ilmenau (RF and Microwave Research Group), the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt (Chair of Intelligent Transportation Systems) as well as the University of Applied Sciences Schmalkalden (Chair of Automation Technology and Robotics).
