The central academic body of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering is the Faculty Council. The elected members usually meet once a month to discuss and democratically decide on current, relevant topics such as the study programme portfolio, personnel development, financing or events / public relations.
The meeting is divided into a public and a non-public reporting part and is minuted. The invitation to the next Faculty Council and the minutes of the public part of past meetings are published here within the university.

Der FachschaftsRat ist die gewählte studentische Interessenvertretung der Fakultät Bauingenieurwesen. Sie besteht aus zwölf gewählten Mitgliedern sowie freiwilligen FachschaftlerInnen. Der FsR, wie sich der FachschaftsRat abkürzt, hält Augen und Ohren offen, damit die Rechte der Studierenden nicht in den Hintergrund geraten. Die Mitglieder des FachschaftsRates werden in die verschiedenen Gremien der Universität delegiert, damit die Meinung der Studierenden an den richtigen Stellen vertreten werden kann.
Unterstützung können Studierende aber nicht nur bei hochschulinternen, sondern auch -externen Belangen finden. Der FachschaftsRat kann bei Problemen mit Professoren, der Lehre oder etwa der Prüfungsordnung oder Kritik helfen. Er unterstützt aber auch die Studierenden im studentischen Alltag und erleichtert den Start ins Studium durch die Organisation der Erstsemesterwoche.
