Monday is a dichotomy between rut and new beginning.

»Protokoll M – oder der Tag, an dem der Wolf anfing, den Mond zu jagen« (Protocol M - or the day the wolf started chasing the moon) is an installation radio play that describes a kind of self-help group for residents who have been exposed to the weekly Monday demonstrations in their own homes for months. They come into the room with the question of how they should relate to the movement and its actors, whether they should do something about it, and how dialogue might be useful. The text is based on transcripts of interviews conducted with residents as well as own observations from inside the demonstration. The roles are fictitious, but based on interview partners from the living space, as well as actors and participants in the demonstration.

The play will run on 28.10.23 at four different times: 4 pm, 5 pm, 6 pm, 7 pm.

It will always start on the hour and last about 45 minutes.

After the demonstration, everyone is invited to take part in a round of talks led by the artist herself.

This work was created as part of a Master's thesis at the Professorship »Experimental Radio« at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and was supervised by Prof. Nathalie Singer and Frederike Moormann.

Paula Holzhauer (*1994 in Kassel, lives and works in Weimar and Berlin) is a multimedia artist. She studied Visual Communication and Media Art and Design at the Professorship "Experimental Radio" at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. In her audio works, texts and books, she understands her surroundings as a conglomeration of unmentioned stories and as a field of her own social studies. She directs the focus on the superficially invisible, plays with transitions between fiction and reality, self-perception and perception by others, and in doing so moves between social and societal issues.
