The project »360° Bildung - Ressourcenverantwortung« (360° Education – Responsibility for Resources) is a joint project of the Professorships of Biotechnology in Resource Management (Prof. Dr.-Ing. Eckhard Kraft) and Building Physics (Prof. Dr.-Ing. Conrad Völker), under the direction of artistic Associate Florian Wehking and with the assistance of Fine Art graduate Andreas Grahl.
Using a touchscreen, visitors have the opportunity to immerse themselves in two virtual 360° tours that make the topics of energy (generation), recycling management, sensible use of resources and climate protection accessible in an intuitive and low-threshold way, so that visitors are sensitised to these topics and gain an insight into how innovative teaching and research is carried out at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar with the help of digital media.
The »Umpferstedt composting plant« application shows what happens to the organic waste we throw into the organic waste bin every day. Step by step, visitors follow the process through the plant. The application »Bauhaus 2050« shows the potential for energy saving and energy generation on the way to a climate-neutral campus of the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
