XXV. International Model Project Forum 2025

On May 9, 2025 a group of nine students present the projects they were involved in between September 2024 and March 2025. Like in the forums of recent years they are covering topics like climate-responsive strategies for neighbourhood and urban development, participation and mobility. As several students completed their model projects at the same partners this time and a study excursion recently took place to one of the partner institutions, while other partners gave lectures to the students within other formats, this year's forum presents itself as a small, one-day format.

We would like to thank all our long-standing and new Model Project Partners making it possible for our students to participate and contribute in the working environment of the receiving offies and institutions! The partners have once again laid a pathway to our students for a phase of trial, research and application in practice and contributed important impulses and inspiration for our studies in the international master's programme "Integrated Urban Development and Design" (IUDD)!

These chances appear in times when peaceful cross-border thinking in the sense of learning with and from each other appears to be an increasingly fragile resource due to seemingly and obviously widespread crises - such learning opportunities must be well-kept-up not only globally, but also within European borders! As thought that - looking back now on the 25th anniversay of the Model projects - makes quite obvious how valuable it is when students are given the opportunity to try things out and gain professional experience elsewhere, thanks to the mobility within the Ersasmus programme and the commitment of each Model Project Partner.
