ifex.colloquium 2018

The climate pavilion will be rebuilt at Beethovenplatz in Weimar. The 6th ifex.colloquium will take place there on 23 May 2018.

The working title of the colloquium is: «anticipation – bauhaus – concepts»

The focus is on the preparation of the "Sustainable Weimar Conference" in 2019, whose topics will be discussed in the style of a communicative "Sustainable-Weimar Café". We expect participants from the fields of planning, construction practice, research & education, industry and politics.

ifex.colloquium 2017

On 24 May 2017, the 5th ifex.kolloquium took place on the theme of "MediaArchitecture".

Short lectures on media processes of participation, animation and interaction focused on the mutual influence of media and architecture. In addition, members of the bauhaus.ifex presented current work and research topics.

New publication series

The bauhaus.ifex has launched a new series of publications entitled [ ifex research series ] that publishes the results of ifex researchers. Four dissertations were published simultaneously by Bauhaus-Universitätsverlag. 

ifex #1: Stephan Schütz illuminates the potential of folded honeycomb panels made of paper materials in their architectural application.

ifex #2: The work of Christian Heidenreich deals with the optimization of free-formed adaptive composite fibre structures. 

ifex #3: Sven Schneider analyzes the methods of creating space within the framework of computer-aided design. 

ifex #4: A new method for parametric life cycle analysis and its application are presented in the work of Alexander Hollberg.

The ifex research series will be extended in the future with further dissertations and research reports.
