Meeta Khurana-Wolff:

Leading Scientific and Artistic Projects | ONLINE

Scientific and artistic projects require tangible outcomes — research findings, innovative concepts, or publications — in an increasingly competitive funding landscape.

Project leaders in academia and the arts face a unique challenge: steering projects to completion without formal authority over team members. This demands exceptional skills in leadership, communication, and collaboration.

This intensive workshop provides practical frameworks, tools, and methods for effective project leadership. Through interactive exercises and peer exchange, participants develop strategies applicable to their own projects.

FOCUS

  • Project leadership vs. project management in lateral contexts
  • Leadership clarity: roles, responsibilities, and skills
  • Effective project management approaches: classical, agile, and hybrid
  • Project structuring: from vision to work packages
  • Cooperation formats: from kick-off to retrospectives

LEARNINGS

  • Navigate project leadership roles and responsibilities in lateral working contexts
  • Select and apply suitable project management methods (classical, agile, hybrid)
  • Design effective cooperation formats and communication structures for diverse teams

METHODS

  • Interactive input sessions and peer exchange
  • Case-based learning and coaching exercises
  • Individual reflection and personal action planning

DATE & TIME: 19.05.2026 | 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
