Christina:
Calling all students! On March 9th 2026, 120 Hours will publish this year’s assignment.
120 hours is the world's largest architectural competition for students, by students. Every spring since 2011, we publish an assignment for students around the globe to complete and submit within 120 hours. In 2025, we received over 1000entries from 93 different countries – our highest number of entries in one competition so far. Collectively, all entries make up an annual, public exhibition where the winners are chosen by a uniquely assembled jury. Some previous jury members include Go Hasegawa, Jan De Vylder, Christian Kerez and Ellen van Loon, to name a few.
This year will be the 16th edition of the competition. The task will be published on 120hours.no on March 9th at 14:00 / 2 pm CET (UTC +01.00). The deadline for entering is 120 hours later – March 14th at 14:00 / 2 pm CET (UTC +01.00). Remember to check the time in your local timezone.
Submissions can be done solo or in teams of up to three students. The competition takes place wherever you are – register, complete and submit digitally. Entering is free of charge. Winners will be awarded with cash prizes of NOK 30 000 (1st place), NOK 15 000 (2nd place) and NOK 7500 (3rd place).
Registration for 2026 is now open – visit our website 120hours.no to sign up. A step-by-step guide on how to sign up can be found here. Follow us on instagram @120hours to receive news and hints on the competition.
