Apply now for the new »neudeli Fellowship«

The new funding programme is aimed at supporting Bauhaus-Universität Weimar students, alumni, doctoral candidates as well as scientific and artistic staff from the university’s different faculties. The startup hub would like to use this university internal offer to provide a place, expertise and a six-month budget to allow ideas, concepts and visions, that arose within the context of the university, to become a reality.

Promising business ideas, either in the form of new products or services will be funded. The programme is designed to be a so-called pre-seed stipend that is aimed at offering concrete support during the concept development and team building phase. The startup ideas should be developed far enough during this time, so that it is possible to receive and effectively use funding and financing opportunities.

The selected fellows will be able to use the neudeli premises and the infrastructure for six months while also receiving intensive coaching and support from the mentors. Additionally fellows will be able to use a maximum of €10,000 for materials for each round of funding. It is possible that multiple projects can be funded during a semester depending on the budgets requested by the hopeful founders.

The »neudeli Fellowship« means that the startup hub can now offer its own funding programme and thereby offer an ideal environment for the start of entrepreneurial activity. The format of this programme should offer an additional stepping stone towards the creation of a company.

Applications are being accepted now until 15 March 2015.

You can find all necessary information about eligibility requirements and application procedures at: www.uni-weimar.de/neudeli/fellowship

There will also be an »neudeli Fellowship« information session on Monday, 26 January 2015 from 1.30 pm – 2.30 pm in the Startup Hub neudeli.

The »neudeli Fellowship« is supported by corporations and institutions from the political and business sectors, especially by our project partner, Stiftung für Technologie, Innovation und Forschung Thüringen (STIFT) as well as sponsors and supporters such as: GRAFE Advanced Polymers GmbH, Stadt Weimar, bmt – Beteiligungsmanagement Thüringen GmbH, Kanzlei Meissner, Bolte & Partner, Thüringer Aufbaubank, Startnext as well as Ernst & Young.
