BAUHAUS4EU University Alliance Meets in Weimar
The BAUHAUS4EU University Alliance, which is made up of seven partner universities, met from 26 to 28 September 2023 at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar to strengthen cooperation, plan future projects and prepare a new application for EU funding for the European ERASMUS University Alliance.
The meeting included workshops, administrative planning and round table discussions with regional partner organisations. The presidents and other representatives from individual universities were present.
Regional development is a key focus of the University Alliance. The Alliance was founded at the beginning of this year and examines the question: How can universities use their international networks to contribute to the sustainable and inclusive developments of their regions in Europe?
Dr. Christian Kästner, Director of our University’s International Office, summed up the network meeting: »The commitment of our partner universities in the Alliance is admirable. I’m pleased that so many high-ranking representatives and experts have come to Weimar and are working intensively with us on developing the Alliance.«
In addition to the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, the BAUHAUS4EU University Alliance includes the Blekinge Institute of Technology (Scweden), the University of Bergamo (Italy), the Université de Picardie Jules Verne (France), the University of Economics in Katowice (Poland), the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (Bulgaria) and the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco (Portugal).
