TRANSIT: German-Japanese Exhibition Project Makes a Stopover in Weimar

Part of the goal of the project was to create a work that could be (disassembled and) transported in a suitcase or easily reproduced at another location.  Artistic productions were created in this fashion in October 2014 and transported to Japan to be exhibited in Yokohama for the triennial.  Back in Weimar, the artists reappraised their work.  Their experience in Japan had influenced them, though, as thus affected their work. The temporary results - the intermediate states so to speak - are now to be presented to the public in Weimar.

This stopover in Weimar does not represent an »end« to the project, but rather a brief pause,   since a group of Japanese artists are coming to Weimar in October 2015 to present the next stopover.
