Bauhaus-Universität Weimar: Events

In contrast to the annual university-wide »summaery«, the Winterwerkschau is independently organised by art and design students and mainly includes works that were created in the Faculty of Art and Design. Participation is voluntary and is intended to offer insights into the process of creating a semester project. In keeping with this spirit, the exhibition will also include works that have not yet been completed.

The three-day showcase with its exhibitions, presentations and individual events is a fantastic opportunity for prospective students and their parents to learn about the Freie Kunst, Lehramt an Gymnasien (Secondary School Teaching Degree), Media Art and Design, Produktdesign (Product Design), and Visuelle Kommunikation (Visual Communication) degree programmes.

In addition, faculty members will be offering portfolio consultations on Saturday, 4 February from 10 am to 4 pm, no appointments necessary. An information booth staffed by Bauhaus.Botschafter*innen will also provide the opportunity to talk with students about studying and student life in Weimar. The Bauhaus.Botschafter*innen will be on site all three days of the 2023 »Winterwerkschau«: Friday from 4 to 7 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 5 pm.
