Student Call for Submissions for TURN Conference 2026 Exhibition Now Open
On 25 and 26 September 2026, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar will be hosting the TURN Conference 2026. The nationwide university conference is dedicated to the topic of »Experiential Learning«, meaning learning through experience and experimentation. A student exhibition will be held alongside the conference. The student work will present insights into the diverse creative, artistic, and academic endeavours at the University.
Undergraduates and doctoral candidates from all faculties are invited to submit their projects and present them to an audience of around 300 experts as part of the »Student Call for Exhibition«. The format is deliberately non-specific: Models, objects, art pieces, prototypes, posters, videos, interactive or digital works, installations, interventions, and experimental formats may be submitted. Projects that have come about through summaery may also be expanded on for the conference and submitted.
An interdisciplinary panel will select the projects for the exhibition. Funding totalling 18,000 euros is available for the implementation and presentation of the selected exhibits. Between 100 and 150 euros per selected project can be used to pay for materials and transportation or travel costs.
Applications must be submitted using the online form. Entries must include a concept statement (maximum three pages) that describes the project, its implementation plan, resource requirements, a cost breakdown, and a visualisation.
The application deadline is 8 May 2026. Projects will be selected by the end of May. The exhibition is scheduled to open on 23 September.
Further information, including the registration form, can be found at Call-for-Exhibition-Seite der TURN26. Questions can be directed to turn26[at]uni-weimar.de.
