Prof. Dr.-Ing. Alexander Stahr studierte in den 1990er Jahren an der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar Bauingenieurwesen, promovierte hier und ist seit 2010 Professor für Tragwerkslehre an der HTWK Leipzig.

Vom 9. bis 12. Juli 2026 fand die 19. Jahresschau der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar statt. Rund 5.000 Besucher*innen strömten auf den Campus und erkundeten über 150 Projekte aus allen Fakultäten. Gut 40 Ausstellungsorte luden ein, entdeckt zu werden. Im Fokus standen die Studierenden mit ihren Abschlussarbeiten und Semesterprojekten. Ein Highlight war die Eröffnungsfeier am Donnerstag mit einem abwechslungsreichen Line-Up und einem DJ-Set vom Balkon des Hauptgebäudes.

Bewerbungen für den Bachelor- und Masterstudiengang Architektur sowie den Bachelor- und Masterstudiengang Urbanistik zum Wintersemester 2026/27 an der Fakultät Architektur und Urbanistik sind noch bis 15. Juli 2026 möglich. Studieninteressierte können ihre Unterlagen über das Bewerbungsportal Campus.Bauhaus einreichen.

From 9 to 12 July 2026, the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar’s annual exhibition took place. Nearly 5,000 visitors flocked to the campus to explore over 150 projects from all the faculties. Visitors were invited to explore exhibitions at more than 40 venues. The event focussed on students and their theses and semester projects. A highlight was Thursday’s opening ceremony, featuring a diverse lineup and a DJ set from the balcony of the Main Building.

Freie Kunst graduate Jakob Elias Meyer was awarded the Lyonel Kunstpreis 2026 on Friday 10 July 2026 for his work »Subsistenzprovisorium«. The Award, which comes with 2,000 euros in prize money, has been granted to artistic theses at the Faculty of Art and Design at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar since 2019. The »Lyonel-Verein zur Förderung von Kunst, Gestaltung und Kultur« (Lyonel e.V.) is a non-profit organisation that supports the promotion of art, design, and culture.
