Vom 12. bis 15. Februar 2026 öffnet die Fakultät Architektur und Urbanistik der Bauhaus-Universität Weimar ihre Türen zur Wintersemesterschau »go4spring«. Studierende ermöglichen Einblicke in aktuelle Arbeiten aus dem Wintersemester 2025/26.

At the end of last year, we called upon the University community for the first time to submit their questions for the University President. He will now be answering your questions once a month. The original idea was to select five questions each month, but it turns out, we didn't need to do the selecting: Exactly five questions were submitted.

Guido Wolter, visual effects supervisor, has been nominated for an Oscar for his work on the Hollywood film »Sinners«. Wolter studied Media Design at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar from 2000 to 2006. The award ceremony will take place on Saturday, 15 March 2026, in Los Angeles. We're keeping our fingers crossed!

Am Dienstag, 3. Februar 2026, übergibt die Thüringer Wirtschaftsministerin Colette Boos-John die Zuwendungsbescheide für das Thüringer Innovationszentrum für die Zukunft des Bauens.

Einmal jährlich lädt der Fachschaftsrat der Fakultät Kunst und Gestaltung alle Studierenden ein, ihre aktuellen Arbeiten in einer Werkschau zu präsentieren. Über 50 Projekte und Kurse haben sich angemeldet und können von Freitag, 6. Februar, bis Sonntag, 8. Februar 2026, besucht und erkundet werden.

Die Kommission Dezentrale Gleichstellung der Fakultät Architektur und Urbanistik verleiht 2026 erstmals den »spring up« Award. Ausgezeichnet werden herausragende Semesterarbeiten, die sich architektonisch, planerisch sowie räumlich-forschend mit dem Thema Gleichstellung auseinandersetzen. Die Frist für die Einreichung von Arbeiten endet am 11. Februar 2026.

International designers and architects will discuss performative and material-based approaches in architecture and design, both on site and online.
