Project description

A dawn chorus refers to the morning and evening peaks of acoustic utterances of biophony, significantly of the animal world. These racoustic ecosystems are structured in a complex way. This collaborative work grew out of a homework assignment in the Sound Ecology course, which sketchily recreates such a dawn chorus with recorded and post-processed sounds on the SeaM's multi channel loudspeaker orchestra. The environment created in MaxMSP reacts to external sounds in different pitches. One cycle lasts about 20 minutes. The number of visitors who can enter the room at the same time is limited. Room 011 at 13A Coudray Street is open:

Thursday, July 15, 4-6pm
Friday, July 16, 4-7pm
Saturday, July 17, 4-7pm
Sunday, July 18th, 11am-12noon

Please bring mask and thoska card for tracking!
